Covid Blessings

I rode my bike 100 miles last Sunday. It wasn't part of an event or something I did with friends. I tackled this adventure solo because I wanted to, because I'd never done it before. And because the lack of races in 2020 gave me the opportunity to shift my training focus from trying to ride as fast as possible for 30 miles to doing something that past-me would have said, "nope, no thank you, absolutely not, ah hell no" to.

Thank you, Covid. I'm really glad I did it. It was fun. It was challenging. And I'm proud of myself.

As Ferris Bueller said, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

Covid has given us an opportunity to pause. To look around. To pivot. And to do brand new things.

My mom has started walking 2 miles every day.

Pete has recommitted to a daily meditation practice (and is rocking a 227 day streak).

Danielle taught herself how to embroider (and made me a beautiful birthday present).

Tina taught herself how to cook (and has been making plant-based meals for herself and her family).

What blessings has Covid brought you so far?

Wherever you are is perfect. I love you.

Love,
Kelsey
