Find Your Awesome with Kate Marolt
“If you’re not used to the cellular experience of joy, it can be a danger signal to our brains—this isn’t normal, this is unknown, this is uncertain. Must go back to patterns of tension or fuzziness, or whatever it is.”
- Kate Marolt
Kate Marolt is a transformational coach, teacher, speaker, and artist. She fiercely believes joy is the whole point of our being here and works with women all over the world who desire success on their own terms and who are ready to raise their standards to choose joy as their baseline for their bodies, work, and lives. Drawing on her 15+ years of experience as an athlete, artist, movement teacher, motivational speaker, and retreat leader, Kate brings a potent blend of magic and practical focus to the table in the form of deep embodiment and creativity practices. Her clients call her a "big f***ing mirror" who is equal parts vision keeper, ass kicker, and a safe harbor, with a splash of mermaid sparkles.
“Okay, this feels really great – I’m alive, I’m fulfilled, I’m happy, things are joyful. And most of the time, most people aren't conditioned to be like ‘How do I create more of this?’ We’re like ‘Oh God, I’ve gotta hold onto this because at one point the other shoe is going to drop.’”

We are joy. We come from joy and it’s our natural state. This week’s podcast with Kate Marolt keeps returning to the fact that we are conditioned to seek out pretty good rather than great and that we have lost touch with how we are created to be joyful beings. There are plenty of obstacles to finding the joy, from seeking distractions that give us a temporary hit to forgetting what our bodies do for us on a regular basis, but it’s really what we are here to do. May you find joy in listening to this episode and in your everyday moments!
“It's hard to have that true awareness of what’s right for us if we’re constantly streaming other people’s experiences and feelings through us and taking them as our own.”
- Kate Marolt
“It’s not just getting somewhere, but how did you get there? What were your reasons for getting there in the first place? And was joy present for those?”
