do you have an “upper limit problem?”

A couple of months ago, my triathlon training was going really well! In fact…it was going SO well, that I was starting to feel like it might be possible to make the podium at Draft Legal Triathlon Nationals.

I could feel a great race in me. I felt excited. I could feel the manifestation.

And then, when I returned from a run…..my foot started hurting.

It started hurting more and more and more.

So much so, that I couldn't put any weight on it.

On an energetic level, I knew exactly what was happening…

I'd hit an upper limit.

And therefore had an upper limit problem (aka an ULP).

My desire didn't match my belief. I wanted to have a great race and earn a spot on the podium, but I had doubts.

“The other girls are so fast.”

“I don't know if I can really truly do it.”

High performers experience ULP's all the time because they're always pushing the edge of their comfort zones. They are always dreaming bigger and bigger and bigger. And they're always doing things that scare them.

But here's the thing:

As we start to expand, the beliefs that are incompatible with our expansion kick and scream and show up as: pain, illness, or a fight with a loved one.

Wondering how I worked through my ULP? I started by asking myself a few questions:

What's the upper limit? For me, it was podiuming at nationals.

What's the problem? I don't know if I can really truly beat the fast girls.

What's true? I can't control who shows up or how they race. I can only control how I show up, and I can commit to going all-in and having a no-regrets race.

And with that, the ULP was cleared up! I went to my chiropractor who put my foot bone back into place, and I was running a few days later.

And guess what happened?

A few weeks later…

I had a no-regrets race at nationals that landed me on the podium.

I love you.

Love,

Kelsey
