Alignment is Your Greatest Gift

"Know who you are in the scene, because that's the best thing you can do for your scene partner."

That's what my improv teacher said on Monday night, and I couldn't hide my glee. I mean, I say the same thing (but different) on my website:

"Your alignment is the greatest gift you can give to every being on this planet--including yourself."

Knowing who you are in improv is one thing. Perhaps you're a punk rock-loving postal worker who's excited about their new pet iguana.

Knowing who you are in Earth School is a little different. Perhaps you're an intuitive, connection-loving creator who is passionate about movement, excited about growth, believes in Santa, values health, adventure and the environment, is in love with her pack and knows a lot of Pitbull lyrics. (And that just skims the surface of who I am.)

So how do we figure out who we are, why we're here, and what we want, not to mention how we develop the courage to step all the way into alignment?

The answer: Alignment Coaching.

Now, let's change topics...

I've been working on a new secret project. (I'm not going to number them any more because, as anyone who's come to my core class knows, counting correctly isn't really my thing.) In developing this secret project, I've been asking myself what activities actually give me energy.

One of my answers: Making delicious and nutritious food.

So bear with me as I tell you about the delicious lunch I made myself today:
1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed
grape tomatoes, halved
frozen corn (cooked)
cucumber, sliced + quartered
celery, chopped
juice of two limes
sprinkle of salt
sprinkle of red wine vinegar

Combine everything (except the red wine vinegar) in a bowl. I add the red wine vinegar just before serving because cucumbers sitting in vinegar turn into pickles and I don't always want pickles. Use however much of each thing as you want. I used about a cup of tomatoes and about a cup of corn, maybe 2/3 of an English cucumber and 3 stalks of celery.

I'm so excited about this secret project. I've got the whole thing mapped out. I just need to figure out the logistics. Here's a tiny hint: When I first started my coaching business, I considered calling myself a "Quitting Coach" because I absolutely love helping people quit things that aren't serving them.

One last thing before I go: Your body is amazing and it loves you SO MUCH. Return the love with a Bonus Meditation: Gratitude for Your Body.

I love you. You're here to do things that only you can do. So, get your booty into alignment so you can raise the world. It's time.

Love,
Kelsey
