Healthier. Stronger. Fitter. Faster.
I was literally knocked out of alignment last week. I was sharing a lane at swim practice. My lanemate was sprinting butterfly in one direction. I was sprinting freestyle in the other direction. We were both present in our own bodies and then WHAM! We hit wrists hard. It was scary, but my body felt fine until 36 hours after impact when the pain radiating through my shoulder and arm kept me awake.
The pain was familiar. It felt just like the pain I experienced after I crashed in a bike race in 2017. I felt like I was experiencing a rerun. I thought I had healed that injury. And yet, here it was again. Here I was in that same mind-scrambling pain again.
I'm not the only one who experienced a rerun last week. The final week of Mercury retrograde kicked a lot of people's butts. Everyone around me seemed to be confused, frustrated and frightened as old beliefs and wounds came to the surface to be healed.
I know that stuff comes back up when we haven't fully learned whatever we're supposed to learn. I tried to drop into my body to find the lesson I was supposed to learn, but the pain was too overwhelming. I tried to think my way into uncovering the lesson I was supposed to learn, but the fear of the pain continuing forever was too overwhelming.
It wasn't until I'd gotten the pain to a manageable level through acupuncture, physical therapy and chiropractic care, that I could see, hear and feel the truth. It wasn't until I was riding my bike outside that I experienced clarity.
"Healthier. Stronger. Fitter. Faster."
Those words have been flowing through my mind on bike rides since the start of the pandemic. When I heard them on Friday, they resonated with my soul. I am not the same person I was in 2017. I am healthier than I was in 2017. I am stronger than I was in 2017. I am more aligned with my soul's blueprint than I was in 2017.
I guarantee that you're not the same person you were in 2017 either. Maybe you're healthier than you were four years ago. Maybe you're stronger than you were then. Maybe you're more aligned with your soul's blueprint than 2017 was. And maybe you're not as healthy, strong or aligned as you were four years ago.
Wherever you are is fine.
This is your opportunity to assess yourself (without experiencing the pain of a past injury). If you're not where you want to be, make a decision to change: Book a Human Design reading or commit to Alignment Coaching.
And, if you're currently in a place where the physical, mental or emotional pain is so overwhelming that you can't hear, feel or see your way to clarity, take the first step to ease the pain. For me, those first steps were reaching out to the helpers (my physical therapist, acupuncturist and chiropractor) and then receiving their care. For you, the first step may be admitting that you're in pain or reaching out to a coach, therapist or doctor. Be gentle on yourself and take action. Pain is a neon sign trying to get your attention. It's not a state you're destined to tolerate for the rest of your life.
I love you.
Love,
Kelsey
