The Intensity of the Full Moon
How are you?
How's your heart?
With the intensity of last week's full moon and the fact that we've all been riding an escalator emotional wave for the last week or so, things have been interesting lately.
Our four-year-old neighbor threw such an epic temper tantrum that she lost bike privileges for a week.
She's been feeling it. We've all been feeling it.
Here are some tips on riding this energy:
*Ride the wave. Emotions are meant to flow through us. Allow them to flow through you without judging or over-analyzing. If you stay out of your head, an emotional wave will take about 24 hours to pass through.
*Move your body. This emotional wave asks us to move our bodies to help the energy flow through us and out of us.
*Release what needs to be released. If that's anger, scream into a pillow, stomp your feet in the grass (or snow), find some old plates and smash them in a safe place. If tears need to flow, let them flow.
*Put yourself in a timeout. (That's what I did.) There's magic on the other side of this. Don't force yourself to put your work out into the world until this energy has passed through you. Trust me, what's on the other side is so much sparklier than anything you've ever experienced.
*Take care of your body. Sleep if your body wants sleep. Stare at the ceiling if your brain wants a break. Pay attention to what you put into your body. Keep it clean.
*Love yourself and trust like a mofo. As I said above, there's gold on the other side of this.
*Love other people. We are ALL feeling this right now. Remember: We're all doing the best we can.
*Love Mother Earth. Remember who you are and deepen your connection with yo' mama (Mother Earth). Both of last week's episodes of The Find Your Awesome Podcast will help you do this. Listen to last week's Bonus episode: A Meditation to help you reconnect with Mama Earth here. And listen to Healing our relationship with Mother Earth with Kerri Hummingbird here.
The first step to loving yourself is understanding yourself. And the first step to truly loving others is loving yourself. Start the ripple effect with a Human Design reading.
I love you.
Love,
Kelsey

P.P.S. Things that are bringing me so much joy right now: the amazing vegan butternut squash, kale and zucchini lasagna with creamy garlic sauce we made last week, play, connection and magic in the form of Saturday core classes, and being on the other side of the intense energetic and emotional release of the last few days.
